I first set up a meeting to ask questions and get enough information to sketch initial ideas. I then researched symbols that already have a general association to each said topic within the Finance / Investment realm. I mocked-up designs to test with people in the business, refining the graphics according to feedback, and taking visual cues from the newest Octopus Design System.
In the end, stakeholders were delighted to have a set of icons that facilitated internal communications and made navigating through confluence documents much more intuitive than before. Exported as PNG and SVG formats, in various sizes and resolutions which could easily be uploaded.
